Ngữ pháp phổ quát (Universal Grammar – UG) là một lý thuyết quan trọng trong ngôn ngữ học, được phát triển bởi Noam Chomsky. Lý thuyết này giả định rằng tất cả các ngôn ngữ trên thế giới đều chia sẻ một cấu trúc cơ bản chung, và khả năng học ngôn ngữ là một phần bẩm sinh của con người. Theo UG, não bộ của con người đã được chuẩn bị trước để tiếp nhận ngôn ngữ, nhờ vào một bộ quy tắc ngữ pháp chung mà mọi ngôn ngữ đều tuân theo.
